Dana Laraine Vickers was born in Abilene, Texas on November 11, 1979 to Lorri Lantz-Vickers and Frank Thomas Vickers. She graduated from Abilene High School in 1998. She earned two Bachelor's Degrees and a Master's Degree from Texas Tech University, but was most proud of her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech and her work with Hendrick Hospice Center in Abilene. She was preceded in death by her Fraternal Grandparents Frances and Stephen Vickers and her Maternal Grandparents Bette Fitzgerald and John Lantz. She was also preceded in death by her Uncle Steve Allison Lantz. Dana Laraine Vickers is survived by her daughter Cassidy Quinn Vickers, her brothers Mason Daniel Profit and Zeke Thomas Vickers and her parents Lorri Lantz-Profit, Jeff Profit and Frank Vickers. Dana Laraine Vickers passed away June 29, 2023 in Abilene, A Celebration of Dana's Life will be held on August 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Heavenly Rest, 602 Meander Street, Abilene, TX 79601. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Hendrick Hospice Care in Abilene, where she was so proud to be an RN working at the facility. She called it "her calling" to work there and loved her time there caring for the Residents and working with the incredible and wonderful Staff. Our sincere thanks and gratitude to Hendrick Hospice Care and Staff for the amazing and compassionate care they gave Dana during her last days.
