With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Danny Ray Foreman, who entered eternal rest at the age of 66 on Tuesday July 28th of 2026.
Danny Ray was born on March 17, 1960, in El Paso, Texas. He later grew up in Abilene, Texas with his parents, siblings and extended family. He graduated from Abilene High School. Danny Ray was well known throughout the Abilene community. Whether walking across town or visiting familiar places, it seemed everyone knew Danny Ray. His friendly spirit and familiar face made him someone many people remembered.
Danny Ray was fiercely independent and took great pride in his work. For many years, he provided lawn care and window cleaning services to both residential and commercial customers. He believed in earning an honest living and enjoyed helping others through his work.
Danny Ray found happiness in life's simple pleasures. His nieces meant the world to him and he made sure they knew it. He truly loved listening to music, especially his favorite artist, Stevie Wonder. He had an extensive CD collection as well dating back many years ago. He enjoyed buying lottery scratch-off tickets and won a couple of times too. He loved football and could share every play by play along with the scores. He truly enjoyed calling to "tease" after a Dallas Cowboys loss and how they would never make it to the Super Bowl again. Danny Ray had a laughter that was loud and truly one of a kind. Family and friends could always count on receiving a birthday phone call or just a checkup from Danny Ray, he remembered everyone's phone number by heart and every conversation began with his familiar greeting, "Hey, what's up?" No matter how long or short the call, he always ended it the same way: "I love you."Those words became one of his greatest gifts to the people he loved and will forever echo in their hearts.
