Dany Lee Sparks 66, of Abilene, Texas passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at his residence. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 10:00 ~ 12:00 pm at North's Funeral Home 242 Orange St., Abilene, Texas. Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Dany was born July 22, 1957 in Anson, TX to Maria Lederle and Dan Sparks. Dany received his formal education from Hawley Independent School District. Dany was a member of Woodlawn Church of Christ. He worked for the Abilene State School and worked with various Security Companies as a Security Guard. Dany retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after serving 30 plus years. In his spare time he loved to go fishing and he loved his family deeply and was so proud of his only grandson John. Dany was preceded in death by his parents Dan and Maria Sparks and brother Tommy Sparks. Left to cherish his memories are: sons, Aaron Sparks and Tyler Sparks both of Abilene, Texas; his grandson John Sparks and his sons mother Phyllis Sparks; brother John (Anna) Sparks of Tallahassee, Florida and James (Shirley) Sparks of Abilene, Texas; sister Jeanette (Glenn) Ball of Abilene, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews, cousin and many friends and his beloved dog Jake.
