David Wayne Roe, he was 74 years old when he passed from this earthly life on December 4,2021 in Abilene Texas. His Funeral service will be Friday December 10th,2021 at 3pm. Service will take place at the Texas State VA Cemetery in Abilene which is where the funeral will take place also. David was born on August 11th, 1947, in Austin Texas in Travis County. His parents were Edward William Roe and Bessie Rozelle Clopton-Mills. He graduated from High school and went into the Army and served 4 years. He was a very Proud Veteran of the Army. He loved to do woodworking in his spare time. He loved spending time with his daughter and granddaughters. He loved to spend time with family and friends telling stories. He also loved to go fishing. He was into antique cars. He loved to take his granddaughters to car shows with him as much as possible. He liked to collect random items such as hats, records, 8 track tapes along with different kinds of flags. If it was anything over 20 years old, he liked to collect it. He was preceded in death by both his parents Edward William Roe and Bessie Rozelle Clopton-Mills along with his brother Jimmy Roe. He is survived by his brothers Sonny Roe and wife Betty, Charles Roe and wife Mamie, Donald and wife Lisa and sisters Geraldine Winningham, Joan Neely, Frances Witcher, Billie Cox, Judy and husband Chester Johnson. His Daughter Bessie and husband Michael Peacock. He has four granddaughters Savannah, Haylee, Serenity and Kyleigh. Services entrusted with North's Funeral Home.
