David Silvas was born in Big Spring, Texas, on May 12, 1964, to Frank and Maria Silvas. Services for David Silvas will be held Sunday March 1, 2026 at 5PM in San Antonio Texas at the Emmanuel Community Church. He grew up in Abilene, Texas, where he attended Lincoln Junior High and Abilene High School. David was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Frank and Maria Silvas, as well as his grandparents, Santiago Garcia and Dionicio Silvas. He is survived by his children, Christopher Silvas, Sophia Welsh, and Caden Mason; his grandchildren, Brooklyn (15), Israel (13), Avery (12), Aniyah (11), and Jolie (3); his sister, Belinda Kay Silvas of Abilene; and his brothers, Don Carlos Silvas of Dallas and Daniel Silvas of California. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends who loved him dearly. David was known for his loving, caring, and giving heart. For the past 20 years, he traveled the country as an 18-wheeler driver, making friends everywhere he went. When home in Abilene, he could often be found at Billiards Plus, sharing laughs and good company with close friends. A special thank-you goes to Uta for her friendship and kindness through the years. David will always be remembered, loved, and missed deeply by all who knew him. David Silvas has delivered his last load. His last words: "I remember."
