David L Stevenson of Abilene passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024. Visitation will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024, 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM. Funeral Service is June 15, 2024, 2:00PM at North's Funeral Home with Pastor Jami McCravey officiating. David Leon Stevenson was born in Fort Worth, Texas to George "Tom" Stevenson and Rachel Louise Hale Howell. He attended schools in Fort Worth & Big Spring, Texas. He entered the Army in 1984 and honorably served 4 years. David was a hard worker and willing to do any job to always provide for his family. He will be remembered for his savory smoked brisket. David married the love of his life, Paula Jean, his beauty queen on February 14, 1996. They were blessed with the joy of parenthood when they welcomed their daughter, Ruby, his "SweetPea" and their family of four would be complete when their son, Austin, his "Bubba" was born in 2000. Those left to cherish his happy memories are his loving wife of 28 years, Paula Jean Stevenson of Abilene, Texas; his daughter, Ruby May-Louise Stevenson of Abilene, Texas; his son, Austin Roy-Anthony Stevenson of St Paul, Minnesota; his brother 'Butch' & Trish Stevenson of Tye, Texas; his sisters: 'Ginny' & Chuck Longino of Abilene, Texas; Erin Howell of Fort Worth, Texas; Margarita & Rickey Lee of Alba, Texas and Vicky Bradley of Big Spring, Texas; including his many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. David Leon was welcomed into the open arms of his mama - Rachel Howell; his step-father - Eddie Howell, his dad - Tom Stevenson, his step-mother - Josephine Stevenson, his brother - Tony Stevenson; his aunt 'mama Mary' Cummings, his niece - Kyla Jean Stevenson & his sister-in-law - Ruby Jane Pierce.
