Desree Dominique Mendoza, 32, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on December 6, 2025. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Fountaingate Fellowship Church from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Funeral Service honoring her life will take place on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at Fountaingate Fellowship Church. Burial to follow at Elliot-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery.
She was born on July 17, 1993, in Abilene to Gabriel Mendoza and Patricia Rodriguez, and from the very beginning she brought warmth, strength, and light to everyone around her.
Desree attended Abilene High School before following her calling in nursing. She trained at Cisco College, earning her LVN, RN, and BSN, and devoted her career to serving others with compassion and dedication. As a nurse at Oceans, she was known for her kindness, her calming presence, and the inspiration she brought to her coworkers and patients alike.
Above all, Desree was a loving and devoted mother. Her children were her greatest joy, and she poured her whole heart into raising them. She was the backbone of her family, a steady and comforting presence who lifted others up and held everyone together with unconditional love.
Deeply family-oriented, Desree cherished every gathering and brought joy, laughter, and warmth wherever she went. To many, she was the light of their lives.
She shared a special bond with her younger brother, Gabriel Buddy Mendoza, born on the same day one year after her. He preceded her in death, along with her aunts Yolanda Garcia and Sandra Pena, and her maternal grandfather Robert Rodriguez Sr. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.
Desree is survived by her beloved children: Christian Rigo Morales Jr., Chloe Unique Morales, Charizma Elise Morales, Royal Mateo Sanchez, and Luca Lucciano Sanchez. She is also survived by her father Gabriel Mendoza, stepmother Jennie Antequera , mother Patricia Rodrigez, Tia's Kristina Mendoza, Luciana Garcia, Janette Rodriguez, and Karen Chiquito, Tio's Ismael Mendoza III, and Roberto Rodriguez and her siblings: Christian Isaac Mendoza, Romeo Ezriah Mendoza, Kariem Quickel, Thalia Ann Santana, and Aliyana Quickel.
Her surviving grandparents include paternal grandparents Ismael Mendoza Jr. and Olga Guerra Acosta, and maternal grandmother Elva Franco Rodriguez.
Desree's beautiful spirit, radiant smile, and boundless love will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends, coworkers, and all who were blessed to know her.
She will be deeply missed and eternally remembered.
