Diane Demmitt, 69, wasborn DianeBrownlee on January 08, 1952 in Santa Monica, Ca.She was affectionately known as "D". She passed away peacefully Friday, July 9, 2021 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas. Her parents were Harry and Madeline Brownlee, who moved to the US from Canada. She was one of three children, David, Diane and Deborah, who were the first Americans in the family. She married Ronald Demmitton November 2, 1991, and they were married for 25 years until his passing in 2017. They lived Phelan, Ca. She is survived by her brother, David, her sister, Deb and brother-in-law, Al,niece, Jennifer, two daughters, Erin and Tritia, and four grandchildren, Connor, Caitlyn, Audrey and Evelyn. She had a tremendous love of animals, shown in her career choices as a groom for the racehorses on the California Racetrack Circuit and owner of Fantasy Pony Rides and Petting Zoos. She was a talented and an award-winning artist in mixed media from fused glass, leather working, wool felting, pencil drawings, Zentangle design and Calligraphy. She had a knack of bringing a sparkle to the eyes of the animals she drew.
