Dillon Lang, 81, of Abilene Texas left his earthly home to join many loved ones in his heavenly home on March 31, 2026. Dillon was born in Abilene on September 9, 1944 to Oscar & Grace Lang. After graduating from Abilene High School, Dillon joined the U.S. Military. It was during this time that he met the love of his life, Linda Box. Dillon and Linda married May 13, 1967 and were loving parents to Kevin Glenn, who passed just after birth, and Brigette Reshee'. Dillon and Linda enjoyed 28 years together, until the Lord called Linda home. Dillon was the proud owner and operator of Lang Painting where he dedicated 40 plus years servicing his community. Through his work, Dillon became known for his strong work ethic, craftsmanship and commitment to doing things the right way. Outside of his business, Dillon took great pride in mentoring others. Dillon shared his knowledge freely, guiding and encouraging many who went on to build successful careers of their own. To those he mentored, he was more than a teacher...he was a steady hand, source of wisdom and most of all a friend. Dillon was a dedicated deacon at Second Baptist Church, in Abilene, where he faithfully served the Lord, his congregation and the community for many years. Dillon is preceded in death by his parents, Grace & Oscar Lang, his loving wife Linda Lang, his sister Darlene Love and his infant son Kevin Lang. Dillon is survived by his daughter Brigette Seely and her husband Brian Seely; his grandchildren Kevin Langlitz, Justin Langlitz, Michael Seely and Taylor McCormick, Brandon Seely and Ashley Sutton; his great grandchildren Lakyn Seely, Landyn Seely, Lyncoln Seely, Josiah Gutierrez, Braxson Seely and Parker Seely. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins as well as many friends. The family wishes to thank the staff of Windcrest Health & Rehabilitation for the love and care they showed Dillon during his time there. A viewing will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange Street in Abilene, Texas. The service will follow at 12:30 p.m. Graveside services will be held immediately afterward at Cedar Hill (Abilene Municipal) Cemetery, 1133 Cottonwood Street in Abilene, where he will be laid to rest. Pallbearers will be Justin Langlitz, Michael Seely, Brandon Seely, Kody Hooper, Jeremy Bullard, Daniel Bullard and Colby Tucker. Honorary Pallbearers are Kevin Langlitz and Zachary Gathers.
