Dolores Cecelia Bennett affectionately known as "Cee Cee" was born in Asheboro, North Carolina to James Nathan and Helen Ray Gill on December 20, 1951. She attended Business Technical Institute in Portland, Oregon. She graduated from Albany Union High School in Albany Oregon May 1968. She married Carl Stanley Bennett on September 30,1999 in Abilene, Texas. Memorial service will be held Monday March 13, 2023 at 10am at Fountaingate Fellowship Church located at 909 N. Willis St. Abilene TX, Dolores attended Fountaingate Fellowship Church in Abilene, TX. She had a strong faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ while enduring her illness throughout the years. Dolores enjoyed spending time with family and friends, eating her favorite foods, watching her favorite videos and doing the simple things in life. Dolores departed this life on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at 11:04 am. She was preceded in death by Helen Ray Gill (mother), Denese Amelia Parrish (sister), Adrienne Rebecca Thomas (daughter), and James Nathan Gill, Jr. (father). She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband Carl Stanley Bennett of Abilene, TX; his daughter Bobbie Jo Rollins (Jamie Rollins) of Abilene, TX; her son Shaun Thomas (Geralyn Thomas) of Manor, TX; one brother, James N. Gill, III (Jewel Gill) of Houston TX; three sisters, Felecia Gill- Brooks (Ronnie Brooks ) of San Antonio, TX; Louise Jameson (John Jameson) of Katy, TX; and Carolyn Jameson of Houston, TX; Seven grandchildren, (Alexis Velez (Adam), Adrienne Thomas, Aesah Thomas, Austin Thomas, Braxton Rollins, Danny Rollins, and Josh Rollins; two aunts, Dazzie Lane of Carrboro, NC and Catherine Lane of Carrboro, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
