Donald Dean Henry 68 of Abilene went to Heaven on Wednesday February 4 2009. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at Central Baptist Church with Dr. Herb Wood officiating under the direction of North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street. Donnie was born in San Saba Texas on November 22 1940. He was the son of John and Lois Henry. In 1949 the family moved to Abilene Texas. He was one of four children. He was a graduate of Abilene High School and a veteran of the US Army. Donnie enjoyed the outdoors. Any nice day you would find him outside in his garden or tool shed. If you could not find him at home you might try the local coffee shop or his favorite fishing areas out at Lake Ft. Phantom where he had resided for the last twenty-eight years. He was preceded in death by his parents and two older sisters Zelma Henry and June Ledbetter. He is survived by a brother Glen Henry; a dear friend Ken Fahntrapp; his children Dean Henry Dwayne Henry Lockie Dumas and Carolyn Henry; and four grandchildren.
