Donald "Don" Robert Dumont Sr. 77 of Abilene passed away Friday June 17 2011.  A memorial service is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Thursday at North's Memorial Chapel 242 Orange Street with Dr. Herb Wood officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of North's Funeral Home. Don was born May 15 1934 in Malone New York to Wilfred and Sadie Marie O'Brien Dumont. He retired after 20 years with the US Air Force and another 20 years as Head Custodian with Abilene Independent School District. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty J. and daughters Betty Ann and Debra Ann. He is survived by his sons: Donald Jr. and wife Nancy Wilfred and wife Rebecca and Phillip; also granddaughters Rebecca Greggs Samantha Stephanie and Sara Evans.
