Donald J. Vann, 68, of Abilene, passed away October 31, 2018. Services will be Monday, October 5, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Fenwick officiating. Burial will be in Hawley Cemetery following the service under the direction of North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange Street. Donald Vann was born March 1, 1950 in Oklahoma, to Billy Vann and Amy Vann. He graduated from Del Rio High School in 1968. He later joined the United States Army in 1971. Donald loved to go fishing and attend church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Amy Vann He is survived by his father, Billy Vann; two brothers: John Vann and wife Jeanie of Hawley, and Calvin Vann and wife Jennifer of Hamby: has many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
