Donell Ezell McBride "Donnie", age 70, went home to his Lord on Friday, March 3rd, 2023. Donnie's Home Going Celebration will be 2pm Thursday, March 23 at Abilene City Cemetery under the direction of North's Funeral Home. Donnie was born a twin. Donnie/Lonnie were born December 8, 1952 to Ezell and Juanita McBride in Pecos, Texas. After receiving his diploma, he worked a number of positions, his last 20 years before retiring was with Clean of Abilene. Donnie was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita McBride, a brother Harold McBride, twin granddaughters, Danielle and Lanelle McBride, a grandson, Kevin Oliver Jr., his father, Ezell Mcbride, and great grandson, Javonte Smith. Donnie is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley McBride; twin brother, Lonnie McBride Sr.; sisters, Ernestine and Beth, and brother Johnny; children, Donnell McBride Jr., Melissa, Jessica, and Tyrone; Grandchildren, Shaquetta, Daknesha, Lashelle, Shamari, Marquayle, Terrance, Terrell, Tashun, D'Jenna and host of great grandchildren, great-granddaughters, Miyanna McBride, and Ayanna Verastegui, great-grandson, Amari Verastegui.
