Dora Martinez 61 of Abilene passed away Friday, June 16, 2023 in Abilene. Visitation will be held Sunday June 18, 2023 from 6-8pm at North's Funeral Home. Dora was born July 13, 1961 in Corpus Christi, TX to Elvira Valdez and Juan Cortez Sanchez. Dora received her primary education fro Corpus Christi Schools. Dora Moved to Brownwood and lived there in the 90's and then moved to Abilene in 2005. Dora was a outgoing person who loved to be around family and friends. Dora love going places and seeing different things and she loved to go to the Casino and playing Bingo. She was the life of the party and loved Dancing and listening to music. Dora was preceded in death by Parents Juan and Elvira Sanchez, brother Santiago Sanchez, and sister Santos Sanchez. Left to cherish her memories are: son, Ricardo Sanchez (Melissa) of Abilene, Son Mario Sanchez of Abilene, son Rudy Avila of Brownwood, TX. Brothers; Cruz Sanchez of Denton, Manuel Sanchez of Dallas, Clemente Sanchez of Dallas, Ramon Sanchez of Bangs, sister Maria Sanchez of Seguin, TX. Five grandchildren, Oscar Avila, Bella Avila, Ricky Sanchez, Jr, Isaiah Sanchez, Adlena Sanchez, and a host of extended family and many friends.
