Doris J Starks of Abilene passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 at Hendrick Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held Saturday July 18, 2020 at 1pm at North's Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday July 17, 2020 from 5-7pm at North's Funeral Home. Doris was born August 23, 1946 in Calvert, TX to Louise Kenny and E.J. Hines. Doris received her primary education from Calvert Schools. She moved to Abilene ,Texas in 1965, met her late husband Joe Starks. After retiring her cleaning Service she was able to do the things she loved such as spending time with family and friends, traveling and making new memories. Doris was preceded in death by; Husband Joe Starks, Daughter Cynthia Evans, Mother Louise Kenny, Father, E.J Hines, Grandparents Robert Evans and Vera Evans, Brothers Benny Henry, Roy B and Eddie Kenney , Sister Anna Lightfoot and her Special cousin Erma Townsend Left to cherish his memories are: daughters, Rosalind Evans of Abilene Sherrie Thomas of Coolidge, TX, sons: Johnnie Evans of Longbeach ,CA, Keith Evans of Abilene, TX, Joe Starks Jr. of Abilene, TX, Sisters; Frances Hutchinson of Mexia, TX, Betty Ownes of Coolidge, TX, Willie Mae Busby of Dallas, TX and Earnistine Kirven of Mexia, TX Brothers: George Evans of Abilene, Texas and Kenneth Kenny of Mexia, TX, 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and many friends.
