Dorothy N. Lambert Gibson, 84, passed away January 4, 2014, at her assisted living home of natural causes. A graveside service will be Saturday, January 11, at 10:00 a.m. at Potosi Cemetery, officiated by her son, Lee Lambert. Arrangements were made under the direction of North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange. Dorothy was born on October 4, 1929, in Abilene, Texas, to Walter and Lena Mullins. She graduated from Abilene High and attended Abilene Christian College, where she met Morris Lee Lambert, whom she married in 1947. Dorothy and Morris remained married until his death in 1983. Dorothy retired from Abilene State School. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Hamby. Dorothy is survived by her four children in Abilene: Lee Lambert, Suzy Miller, Max Lambert, and Sid Lambert, in addition to seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
