Dorothy Mae Crane Skipworth 74 of Abilene passed away Thursday November 10 2011.A service will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. at South Park Church of Christ 1634 Palm Street with Jack McCarty officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of North's Funeral Home.   The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street .   Dorothy was born on January 22 1937 to Hooper and Eula Dotson Crane.   She lived in Abilene her whole life and was a long time member of the Church of Christ .   She married Kenneth Skipworth on November 7 1953.   Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents one sister Lola Mae French; and brothers J.D. Crane Floyd Crane Eugene Crane and Troy Crane.   She is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years Kenneth Skipworth;   Three daughters Jamie Schreck and husband Mike Angie Pence and husband Mike and Jennifer Wright and husband Chris; Seven grandchildren: Michael Pence Lacie Pence Kara Pence Kayla Pence Macie Josselet Ravin Wright and Gage Wright: and one sister Wanda Crane.   Those who knew her knew of the special bond that she had with her family and her happiest times were when they were all together.     Online condolences can be made at www.northsfuneralhome.com.
