Mr. Edgar Cornish Jr. departed this life August 7, 2024 in Brownwood, Texas. Funeral service will be held Friday August 23, 2024 at 11am at North's Funeral Home, with burial to follow at the Abilene City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday August 22, from 5-7pm at the Funeral Home. Mr. Edgar Cornish Jr. born April 18, 1941 to Edgar Cornish Sr. and Early Mae Rhodes-Cornish in Mt. Calm, Texas. Mr. Cornish later united with Truevine Baptist Church. There were 17 sisters and brothers. He is preceded in death by, both parents, and several siblings. He leaves to cherish his memories; wife Willetta Samuel-Cornish of Abilene, TX. Sister Annie Mack of Bellmead, Brother Willie Cornish of Odessa, sister Linda Cornish-Brown Wiley of Downville, brother Larry Cornish of Odessa TX, sister Beverly Cornish Tucker Hopwood of Bellmead, sister Brenda Cornish-Ewing of Ft. Worth TX. brother Kirk Cornish of Hewitt, Texas, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
