Obituary

Edith Joy Ivey went to be with her Lord and Savior October 13, 2015. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday in Elmwood Memorial Park with Paul Martinez officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday in North's Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange Street. Edith fought a long battle with Parkinson's disease. She left a beautiful daughter, Joy and her husband Dan Huskerton, two grandchildren, Kelly McIver, Kyle McIver and his wife Brooke, son, Dan Ivey, adopted son, Walter Manuel, and devoted nephew, Jack Marshall. Words cannot express our appreciation to Aida, Maggie, Priscilla, Crystal and Visiting Angels for their love and care for mom the past several years. We'd like a special thank you to Southwest Home Healthcare for their expertise nursing care during her fight with this disease. Lastly, we express our thanks to Integra Care for your special touch the last days of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis, her parents, Ted and Gussie Daniell, sister, Gwen and brother-in-law, Jack Marshall, Sr. Joy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Children and animals always brought a smile to her face. She taught great morals and values to her children. She was a special lady to so many people.
