Edward Warren Jr of Abilene passed away Monday, February 3, 2020 at his home. A Funeral Services will be held Saturday February 15, 2020 at 11am at North's Funeral Home Chapel. A Visitation will be held Friday February 14, 2020, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM in North's Memorial Chapel. Interment will be held Tuesday February 19, 2020 at 11:00am at the Texas State Veteran Cemetery.
Edward Warren Jr. was born on October 22, 1955 in Colorado City, Texas to Edward Warren Sr. and Lorene Scott Warren. He grew up in Colorado City and graduated from Colorado City High School in 1974.
Ed, as he was called by family and friends, served in the U.S Marine Corps for 4 years and received an Honorable Discharge. He loved playing and watching football, basketball and listening to his favorite country song "Pop A Top Again".
Following the military Ed married Carolyn Ransom in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1982 and to this union 2 children were born. Ed later married Patricia Smith and moved to Abilene, Texas.
Ed was preceded in death by his mother, Lorene Warren, his dad, ("my daddy") Edward Warren Sr., his wife, Patricia Warren, 2 sisters, Jessie L. Daniel and Carrie (Bobby) Jones.
Ed leaves to cherish his memory: 4 children: LaSonya Green, Nikia Jackson, Edward Warren III and Chameleon Walker (John), 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers: Robert Shoals, Tommy Bailey, and Michael Scott Warren, 6 sisters: Betty Bradley, Darlene Thomas, Jonita Shoals, Minnie Tryon(Jesse Earl) Myrtle McGee, and Maxine Goodman (Lee), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
