Eleanor Handrahan 88 of Abilene passed away Wednesday December 30 2009. No services are scheduled. Interment will be in Howard County Maryland at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street. Mrs. Handrahan was born November 17 1921 to Lylle and Eleanor Morrissey in Algiers Louisiana. She married Paul Handrahan. She lived in Catonville Maryland for over fifty years. She moved to Abilene in 2003. She was a homemaker and avid golfer. She was a member of the Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her three daughters: Kathleen Thompson of Abilene a retired teacher of 22 years at Merkel High School Deborah A. Bopp a Registered Nurse and OB/GYN Specialist in Colorado Springs Colorado and Patricia Ansari a Physician's Assistant of Abilene; seven grandchildren: Kevin Thompson of Abilene Michael Thompson of Washington State Jennifer Nelson of Colorado Springs Colorado Erika Bopp of Colorado Springs Colorado Christopher Bopp of San Diego California Laila Ansari of Dallas and Sabrina Ansari of Dallas.
