Ella Margaret Allen Johnson 95 of Abilene died Saturday February 14 2009. Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 AM at the Minter Lane Church of Christ with grandson Dr. Shawn D. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of North's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street. Margaret was born January 6 1914 in Bear Grass Texas to Dalton Mathis Allen and Susie Margaret Calmes Allen. She married Roland Johnson on December 31 1934 in Corona NM. She was an artist and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Donald Johnson; great-grandson Gabriel King; daughter-in-law Mary Johnson; son-in-law Kurt Terry; sisters Bessie Mae Hogan Cleo Hendon Beatrice Current and Agnes Bush; and brother Melvin Allen. She is survived by four daughters Myrna Johnson & Bob Shirley Evans & Arnold Teresa Terry and Pamela Johnson; two sons Philip Johnson & Linda and Michael Johnson & Cara; sister Wanda Ledbetter; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law Lorene Allen.
