Elmer Garcia Ramos Jr., 68, of Abilene passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Visitation will be held at North's Funeral Home on Monday, February 19, 2024 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm with the Rosary at 7:00pm. A Graveside Service will be held at Capps Cemetery on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 11:00am.
Elmer Garcia Ramos Jr. AKA "Chats" was born in Baird, TX to Elmer Cisneros Ramos Sr. and Valentine Garcia on July 6,1955 and was one of 8 siblings. He attended Butterfield School where he was talented in track and basketball. He went on to graduate from Wylie High School Class of 1974. After graduation Mr. Ramos started his own business Elmer Ramos Masonry, where he served Abilene and the surrounding areas for many years. He enjoyed spending his free time with his four children teaching them how to play ball and attending their sporting events, taking day trips and going to the movies. Elmer was also
a gifted pool player and liked to play the guitar. He was known for his sense of humor and could make anyone laugh, he never knew a stranger! Mr. Ramos touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
Elmer Garcia Ramos Jr. was preceded in death by his sister Manuela Ovalle, brother Daniel Ramos and both parents Elmer and Valentine Ramos.
Elmer Garcia Ramos Jr. is survived by his two daughters: Bridgette Jones and Haley Ramos both of Abilene, Two sons: Erik Ramos in Abilene and Erin Ramos of Three Rivers TX, Brothers: Fidel and wife Lisa Ramos, Salvador and wife Donna Ramos, Zeke Ramos and Vicente Ramos all of Abilene, and sister Sophia and husband Martin Suarez of Andrews Texas and seven grandchildren Natalie Ramos, Felicity Jones, Axl Wells, Piper and Slayter Burleson, Izzy and Blaze Martinez all of Abilene.
