Eloise "Peggy" Jackson 85 of Abilene formerly of Beaumont Texas passed away Monday January 29 2007. A private service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at North's Memorial Chapel 242 Orange St. Mrs. Jackson was born December 3 1921 to Walter and Esther Butcher in Bremen Ohio. She attended North High School in Columbus Ohio. She married James H. Jackson March 1 1953 in Columbus Ohio. They had one son George R. Jackson. The family lived in Beaumont Texas for forty years. After Mr. Jackson's death Mrs. Jackson moved to Abilene in 1996. She was a volunteer for the Beaumont Hospital for many years. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Beaumont Texas She is survived by one son; George R. Jackson Sr. and wife Ann of Abilene; two grandchildren; George R. Jackson Jr. and Jennifer Jackson both of Abilene.
