Ernest Hernandez of Abilene passed away Friday, August 25, 2023. Services will be held Friday, September 1, 2023 at North's Funeral Home 242 Orange street from 5-7 pm. Ernest was born April 20, 1963 to Ignacia and Domingo Hernandez in Abilene, Tx. Ernest was well known for his many attributes; whether it be his compassion towards his family, friends and various pets. His willingness to drop everything to lend a helping hand. His larger than life smile, unforgettable laugh and fantastic sense of humor. Ernest had a passion for racing, cruising and working on his '55 Chevy. You could find him at the local dragstrips or North first cruising with his friends. Those who knew Ernest knew he hated taking pictures, always loved wearing t-shirts and jeans and learned to pretty much do anything from cars to construction. Ernest will be missed and more importantly loved by all who knew him Ernest was proceeded in death by his parents Ignacia and Domingo Hernandez; brother Tony Hernandez. Left to cherish the memories of Ernest are his Daughters Jennifer M. Hernandez and Marina L. Aguero both of Abilene; Brothers Domingo Hernandez Jr. and wife of Abilene, Joe Hernandez of Abilene; Sisters Virginia Ochoa Hernandez of Abilene, Gloria Gonzalez and husband of Abilene; three granddaughters, two grandsons, several nieces and nephews.
