Ervin J. Lorentz 78 died February 5 2007 at his residence. Memorial services will be Friday February 9 2007 at North's Memorial Chapel. Mr. Lorentz was reared in Minnesota and served in the United States Army from 1947 until 1954. He married Tressey Williams in Salinas California in 1947. Mr. Lorentz worked for Kaiser Refractory in Moss Landing California for 24 years. He moved to Abilene in 1970 where he was in the chemical business for 23 years before retiring. Survivors include his wife Tressey Lorentz of Abilene; two sons Chris Lorentz of Haines Alaska and Wayne Lorentz of Pacifica California; one daughter Linda Ballard of Abilene; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; two sisters.
