Estanislado (Stan) Jinahosa Lemon Jr. July 17, 1946 - September 30, 2024 Estanislado "Tanis" Jinahosa Lemon Jr. was born on July 17, 1946, in Alice, TX, to Estanislado Sr. and Olga Tyre. On September 15, 1966, in Odessa, TX, he married Mary, the love of his life, beginning a lifelong journey together. In 1985, they relocated to Abilene, TX, where they raised their family, and Tanis started working as a lineman. Tanis had a deep love for the outdoors, spending countless hours fishing and cherishing time with his beloved "Mama," to whom he was devoted. When she was placed in long-term care, Tanis's dedication never wavered-he refused to leave her side, often sleeping in his car in the parking lot, ensuring he was always nearby. Known for his humor and good-natured spirit, Tanis loved making people laugh with his jokes and playful personality. He was never shy about telling people about being a "Mexi-CAN" or showing off his "Mexican Boxing Glove," a testament to his love for life and ability to bring joy to others. After retiring, Tanis dedicated his time to volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and doing yard work for extra spending money. He had a gift for collecting-both items and friendships-and could light up a room with his charming antics and warm smile. Tanis was preceded in death by his mother, Olga, his stepfather, Ray, and his sisters Nelda and Lidia. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 58 years, Mary Lemon, and their children: Stanley, Reynaldo (and wife Sandra), James (and wife Maria), Olga (and wife Shawna), and Laura (and wife Sandi). Tanis is also survived by his brothers Philipe Limon (and wife Rosa), Oscar Limon, Reuben Limon, and Disidoro Vega. He was immensely proud of his grandchildren, Chester, Michael, Vanessa, Daniel, Valerie, Katrina, Gabriella, Will, and Abigale "Wilma," along with many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Tanis's memory will live on through the love and laughter he shared with his family, friends, and all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
