Eugene Williams 85, of Abilene passed away, Sunday, February 15, 2015. A Graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday at Lubbock City Cemetery, Lubbock, Texas. Visitation will be Wednesday 5-7:00 p.m. at North's Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange Street, Abilene, Texas. Eugene was born May 14, 1929 in Posey, Texas to Early and Mandy (Webb) Williams. He graduated from Lubbock High School and moved to Abilene in 1965. He married Ida Kathryn Brandon November 12, 1950 in Lubbock, Texas. He worked for: Billings Transfer Co., and, Curry Motor Freight Company in Lubbock, and worked for Merchants Fast Motor Lines in Abilene for thirty-two and a half years. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ida Kathryn Williams, daughter, Meryline Gail Williams, one brother, Horace Williams, and two sisters, Ruby Lee Martin, and Elizebeth Patton.
