Eva A. Bailey 93 of Abilene passed away Sunday May 6 2007. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in North's Memorial Chapel with E. J. Chafin officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Cemetery in Snyder Texas under the direction of North's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at North's Memorial Chapel 242 Orange St. Ms. Bailey was born June 4 1913 in Belfast Maine. She was raised in Columbus Kansas. She married Howard Hutchins in 1934 in Columbus Kansas. He preceded her in death in 1956. She married Leo Bailey in 1979 in Center Texas. He preceded her in death in 1991. She moved to Abilene in 1995. She loved her family cooking and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents two brothers and one granddaughter. She is survived by four daughters; Margaret Anderson and husband John of Abilene Billie Mae Tooley and husband Bill of Konawa Oklahoma Lydia Ann Leonberger and husband George of Paris Texas and Katherine Kay Sanders of San Antonio Texas; Fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
