Eva Lee Langford 84, of Abilene passed away Monday, November 25, 2024. Visitation will be held Thursday December 5, 2024 from 6-8PM at North's Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at North's Funeral Home Friday December 6, 2024 at 12PM. Burial to fallow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel, TX. Eva was born December 10, 1939 in Cross Plains, TX to Mabel Potter and Calvin J. Fortune. Eva had three sisters and one brother. Eva worked at Timex that was eventually called Texas Instruments. Eva also worked at Gibsons. Eva met and married Jackie Langford on June 26, 1959. Eva hand one daughter and two sons. Eva also raised her granddaughter Angela Phillips that she always called her daughter. Eva had 9 grandkids, 7 great grandkids and 4 step grandkids. Eva loved her family so much. Eva loved to crochet blankets, read, garden and canning. Every home that she had she always planted roses bushes. Left to cherish her memories are: (husband) Jackie Langford, (son) Michael Langford, (son) Jimmy Langford, (daughter/ Granddaughter) Angela Phillips, 9 grandkids, 11 great grandkids, 4 step grandkids, (sisters) Sylvia Collins and Cathy Newton. Eva was preceded in death by: (mother) Mabel Potter, (father) Calvin J. Fortune, (brother) Freddy Fortune, (sister) Betty Stout, and (daughter) Paula Langford.
