Floreine Ross 95 of Abilene passed away Saturday March 14 2009. Graveside services will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. with Gary Lowe officiating under the direction of North's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at North's Funeral Home 242 Orange St. Floreine was born in Abilene on October 12 1913 to Harvey and Sarah Osborn. She married N. Sherwood Ross on December 2 1932. She worked for the Abilene Independent School District in food services for over twenty years. She was a member of the Fifth and Grape Street Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents her husband her daughter Judy Purrington and two brothers. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Gary and Penny Ross of Abilene and two grandsons Jason Purrington of Commerce Texas and John Purrington of San Angelo Texas.
