Obituary

Floyd Lee Boyd, Jr., 86, of Anson, Texas, died Friday, September 26, 2014. Mr. Boyd passed away peacefully in his sleep at the home of his daughter, with his loving family by his side. Floyd was born on November 22, 1927, in Jones County to Buster and Jeannie Boyd. He was preceded in death by his wife Evelynn Coffee Boyd, one brother, Emmett Boyd, one sister, Jerry Malone, two nieces, and four nephews. Mr. Boyd served in the Air Force from 1952 to 1956. He also worked in the oil field for the best part of ten years. He worked later for the Abilene Auction, and eventually retired from the Farmers and Ranchers Auction in Abilene. He is survived by two daughters, Sandi Ingram of Anson, Dianna Beard of Coleman, one step-daughter, Duwanna Kluza of Buffalo Gap, one step-son Duwain Boyd of Anson, four sisters, Ruby Cory of Abilene, Mary Wise and husband, Buddy of Abilene, Vondell Gillispie and husband, Clyde of Abilene, and Betty Morris of Abilene, six grand children, sixteen great-grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, September 28, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in North's Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange St., Abilene, Texas, and graveside services will be held Monday, at 2:00 p.m. at Cedar Gap Cemetery, under the direction of North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange St. Online condolences can be made at www.northsfuneralhome.com
