Frances T. Roberts Barton of Abilene, Texas (formerly of Brady), passed away on November 4,2021 of an lengthy illness. She was residing with her daughter, Brenda Kent and family when she passed away.
She was born on June 16,1946 in Brady, Texas to Arthur S. Roberts and Pauline M. Carlson Roberts. She was a Graduate of Brady High School and Aladdin Beauty College.
She was married to James D. Barton in Brady from December 9,1972 to December 20,1978. She is survived by her sister, Rosia and husband, Johnny Cook Sr and brothers, Sylvester Roberts and Douglas Roberts all of Brady.
Son, Justin Barton of Ft. Benning, Georgia. Daughters, Carolyn Roberts of Brady. Brenda Kent of Abilene and Patty Mangum and husband Frank of Decatur, Alabama.
Grandchildren: Zaylen Kent, Kendra Kent, Grayson Ranjel and husband Ray of all of Abilene. Marissa Griffith of Bremen, Alabama and Bristen Aeris of JB Charleston, South Carolina and Kaylee Barton of Virginia. Three great grandchildren: Abby, RJ and Ava all of Abilene.
Frances was a hairstylist for several years and worked at Plateau/Thunderbird Hotel in Brady for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is proceeded in death by James Barton, her parents, Arthur and Pauline M. Roberts, Grandparents Conrad and Mamie Carlson, Former son-n-law, Steven Griffith.
