Frances Sybil Haddock 93 passed away Saturday May 11 2013. Services will be Tuesday May 14 at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00-7:00 p.m. Monday at North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street. Frances was born in Plainview Texas in 1920 to Victor Lee Shiflett and Alvie Joyce Wiltshire. She graduated from Abilene High School and continued her education at Draughan's Business School. She worked as the Postmaster General in Lubbock until she met the love of her life Warren Haddock. Frances was a strong part of the First Christian Church family. She loved her daughter grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all of her heart. She was an amazing woman who will be missed by all. Frances was preceded in death by her parents Victor and Alvie Shiflett and by her husband Warren Haddock. She is survived by her daughter Janet (husband Antonio) Romero of Abilene; grandson Tommy Smart; granddaughter Christie Madison; and great-grandchildren Sarah Steven Tommy Jr. Felipe and Antonio.
