Francesca Lynnette Marshall, "LYN" 49, of Abilene, passed away on April 5, 2025. A celebration of her life will be held at a later Date. Francesca was born on September 21, 1975, in Abilene, Texas, to Shirley Mae Marshall Holcomb. She received her primary education from Abilene ISD and during her education she excelled in Vollyball and Track, she also was a member of the Mann Junior High Band and Abilene High School Band, playing Flute and Trombone. Throughout her career, Francesca dedicated many years to food service and healthcare, touching the lives of many with her kindness and strong work ethic. Francesca had a deep love for music, art, and reading her Bible. She found joy in the simple things, like spending time at the park or surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Above all, she cherished her family and the time spent with them. She is survived by her daughter, Shamel Lockett of Abilene; sons Jammie Lockett of Fort Worth, TX, Tavin Peterson of Abilene, and Tovein Peterson of Abilene; 7 grandchildren; her mother, Shirley Holcomb, and father, Leroy Holcomb of Abilene; sisters Melandy Bunch and Embrie Holcomb, both of Abilene; 1st cousins; Zandra Carr Marshall, Angela Marshall, Tonya Carr, Ashley Carr, Bill Carr, Timothy Marshall and Reggie Rayford and a host of extended family and many friends. Francesca was preceded in death by her beloved son, Terrance Lockett; cousin, Shannon Carr; grandmother, Ida Lee Harris; and aunts, Juanita Carr, Terri Harris, Jean Rayford, Rodrick Rayford and Horace Carr. She will be remembered for her loving nature, dedication to family, and the joy she brought to everyone she met. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
