Fredricka V. Johnson, 50, of Abilene, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM at North's Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on the same day, prior to the service.
Fredricka was born on January 16, 1975, in Abilene, Texas, to Faye and Arthur Johnson IV. She began her education at Woodson Headstart in Abilene, before her family relocated to Japan, where she continued her schooling through the 8th grade. Following her father's military service, the family moved to Wichita, Kansas, where Fredricka graduated from high school in 1993.
Known for her independence, Fredricka started working at the age of 16. She was an artist at heart, with a passion for drawing, and she found joy in listening to music. Fredricka had a vibrant personality, always ready with a joke to bring a smile to those around her. She will be remembered for her creativity, humor, and loving spirit.
Fredricka is survived by her children: Jasmyne Dupree, Sequoia Dupree, and Lizzie Taylor, all of Abilene; her parents, Arthur Johnson IV and Faye Johnson of Abilene; her brother, Arthur Johnson V (Saori Kyan) of San Diego, CA; her sister, Francesca Johnson Sloan (Keith) of San Antonio, TX; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
