George William Cahill 84 of Abilene passed away March 22 2013. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday March 27 2013 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Herb Wood officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery under the direction of North's Funeral Home. He was born to Edward and Lillian Cahill on June 18 1928 in Akron Ohio. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force in three different wars World War II Korea and Vietnam. He retired after 26 years of dedicated service as a highly-decorated Master Sergeant. He was a loving father who enjoyed working on cars dancing and home remodeling. He had a deep fondness for all animals. He was previously married to Barbara and Kim. In his final years his longtime companion was Fern. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Lillian and his brothers John Edward and Paul. He is survived by his sister Marcella (husband Jim); his sons Gary (wife Fiona) and Michael; his daughters Teresa (husband Dan) Wendy (husband Jeff) Marcella (husband Mark) and Beverly (husband Kevin); his grandchildren Grant (wife Gena) Katrina (husband Craig) Darci Dexter Tanner Nicholas Chloe Ainsley and Nicholas; great-grandchild Isla; and many loving nieces and nephews.
