George Allan Davis, age 77 passed from this life on December 8th, 2020. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 13th from 5pm to 7pm at North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange St., Abilene. Funeral services will be held at 1pm Monday at North's with Pastor Don Bearden officiating. Burial will follow at Caps Cemetery. George was born to the late George Joshua Davis Jr and Winona Faye Sitton on August 8, 1943, at Hendrick Medical Center. He lived in many places in Texas and joined the US Navy in 1961, where he was stationed in Pensacola Fla. He met his wife Sheila Louise Bane in June 1962 and they were married on October 15, 1962 in Ft Walton Beach, Fla. When George was discharged from the service in 1964, he returned to Abilene and lived there for 44 years. He worked for Pump Equipment Co 25 years, Montgomery Wards for 10 years and was the last one to lock those doors at the Abilene location. His final job was at Hendrick Medical Center, retiring on 2005. George was an amazing husband, father and friend. George is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sheila Bane Davis; his children Michael Davis and Melissa Davis; brother Karol Davis and wife Judy; grandchildren Bridget Miller, Zachary Sanford, Cameron Davis and Parker Davis; great grandchildren Lauryn Miller, Logan Miller, Lilly Miller and Salem Sanford; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
