Gertha Oliver 89 of Abilene passed away May 20, 2023 in Abilene, TX. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday May 27, 2023 at 11am at New Fellowship Baptist Church. Interment will be held Tuesday at Abilene City Cemetery at 10am. Gertha Oliver was born November 3, 1933 in Maverick, TX to Eugene and Sylvia Anderson-Williams. Gertha received her primary education from Maverick public schools. After High School she attended Waco Nursing School and worked as a LVN/ RN. Gertha Pastored in CME Church in Colorado City and loved her church family. In her spare time she loved to BBQ, she loved to go Fishing, Hunting, and loved caring for Children. Gertha was preceded in death by parents; Eugene and Sylvia Williams, 9 siblings and son Herman Suiters. Left to cherish her memories are: Son Joseph Suiters Sr. of San Angelo, TX. Sister Edna Wright, grandchildren Irosha Suiters, Joseph Suiters Jr., Devon Hudson, Marquis Johnson, Detric Suiters, David Suiters, Jasmine Pulley, Lynwood Pulley, 15 great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and many friends.
