It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, who left this world on July 31, 2026 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 70. Gloria Hernandez Gonzales was born in Lockhart, Texas to Domingo and Ignacia Hernandez on May 8, 1956. She attended Abilene High School. She married Santiago Gonzales on February 27, 1977 in Abilene Texas. Gloria was a woman whose life was centered around love-especially for her children and grandchildren, who were her greatest pride and joy. She dedicated her life to her family, always putting them first and making sure they felt supported, cared for, and deeply loved. She found happiness in the simple things-spending time with her loved ones, shopping for those she cherished, and creating special memories with her grandchildren and granddogs who held a very special place in her heart. Whether it was a shared laugh, a thoughtful gift, or just being together, she made every moment meaningful. Her strength, warmth, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of devotion, kindness, and family that will never be forgotten. Gloria Gonzales was preceded in death by her parents Domingo and Ignacia Hernandez, brothers Antonio, Ernie and Joe Hernandez. Gloria Gonzales is survived by spouse Santiago Gonzales; children Elizabeth & Carlos Chacon, Santiago Jr. & Marie Gonzales, Diana & Joe Ray Perales, sister Sandie Stone, 5 granddaughter's and 1 grandson and her grand dogs. Though she is no longer with us, her love surrounds us still and will continue to guide us every day. A memorial will be held on August 5, 2026 from 6-8pm at North's Funeral Home 242 Orange St. Abilene, Texas 79601. She will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered.
