Gloria Faye White 71 passed away in a local hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer on December 21 2011. Funeral services will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at North's Memorial Chapel 242 Orange Street . Visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Monday. Gloria was the daughter of Ben and Opal Mueller. She was born July 21 1940 in Stamford Texas and reared in Sagerton Texas . Gloria married Jewell White August 24 1958 in Stamford Texas and then moved to Abilene in 1973. She was employed by the Abilene Independent School System for over 20 years as a cafeteria monitor at Reagan and Crockett Elementary Schools . Gloria enjoyed crossword puzzles scrapbooking and being a wonderful mother to all of her children. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents one son Ricky two brothers Benny and Donny and her husband Jewell White. She is survived by son Greg White and wife Angie; daughter Renee Belcher and fiancé Aaron Cunningham of Aransas Pass Texas; two sisters Helen Kay Lehman of Austin Texas and Peggy McGary and husband Dee of Bangs Texas; one brother Doyle Mueller of Abilene Texas; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and lots of nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.
