Guadalupe Tovar Alaniz of Sweetwater, Tx was called home on May 28, 2022. Funeral Services will be held at North's Funeral Home Monday June 6, 2022 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jami McCravey officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 5, 2022, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at North's Funeral.

Lupe was born August 10, 1961 in Rotan, Tx to Guadalupe & Adelaida Alaniz. Lupe worked for WETS out of Sweetwater for over a decade where he gained an extended family. He took pride in feeding the crew and enjoyed what he did. A passion of his was barbecuing, some would even say he made the best in Texas. Lupe enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, taking Ashley out to eat and spending time with all of his family and friends. Anyone who knew him knew how much of a lady's man he was. His personality was truly one of a kind. Above all he loved his children and grandchildren more than anything.

Guadalupe was preceded in death by the love of his life; Elva Alaniz, father; Guadalupe Alaniz; brother; Alfonso Alaniz and sister; Linda Gonzales.

Left to cherish his memories are: mother; Adelaida T. Alaniz, children: Fernando Alaniz and wife Crystal, Erica Alaniz, Lupe Alaniz, Debbie and husband Jamie Cox, Veronica Alaniz, Monica Alaniz and husband Jucoby Robinson and Ashley Alaniz; 22 grandchildren with one on the way; significant other Melinda Lopez and daughter Jessica DeLeon; Brothers; Martin & David Alaniz, Jesse and wife Julie Alaniz; sisters Rosamaria Alaniz, Pauline and husband Charles White; numerous nieces and nephews.
