H. B. Carroll a long time resident of Abilene died at age 97 in Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland Texas on May 5 2007 Mr. Carroll owned and operated H. B. Carroll Auto Repair on Pine Street in Abilene until his retirement. He was best known for his interest in antique cars. He was a founding member of the Antique Automobile Club of America and participated in tours competitions and parades until late in his life. He was preceded in death by his wife Lois. He is survived by his two daughters; Mary Goode of Chino Hills California and Sandra Hall of Midland Texas. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of North's Funeral Home.
