Obituary

Harold A. Innes 87 of Abilene passed away Tuesday January 5 2010 at a local nursing facility. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Friday February 5th at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery with Dr. Herb Wood officiating under the direction of North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street. Harold was born April 14 1922 in Spokane Washington to Loren and Bertha Innes. He was a WWII veteran who entered the U.S. Army in 1940 and was honorably discharged after WWII. He married the love of his life Bernice Gielow in 1944 in San Francisco California. He moved to Abilene in 1990. He worked as a logger correctional officer master wielder and owned his own trucking company. Harold lost the love of his life Bernice in 1989. He was also preceded in death by brothers Ike Tonasket Rockne Innes and James Turner. He is survived by one son: Michael and Mary Innes; two granddaughters: Meredith and Tony Farquharson and Marian and John Zett; two great-grandchildren: Michelle and Joshua Zett; sisters: Ruth and Myrten Murdock Dawn Rae and Roger St. Clare Belle (Toni) and Frank Barnes; and brothers: Shane and Jackie Innes and Robert and Joann Turner.
