Helen Nixon McCoy 92 of Abilene passed away Saturday September 21 2013. Funeral services are scheduled at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday in North's Memorial Chapel with Pastor Don Greenway officiating. Burial to follow in Midway Cemetery under the direction of North's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening in North's Memorial Chapel 242 Orange St. Ms. McCoy was born May 1 1921 in Stith Texas to John and Maggie (Stayton) Nixon. She married Otis McCoy on July 3 1937. She attended Northside Baptist Church. She was a wonderful Mother Grandmother and Great-grandmother and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents husband son Jerry McCoy and daughter-in-law Pattie. Five sisters and three brothers. She is survived by two sons Ron McCoy and wife Marcile and Ricky McCoy. Five grandchildren nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
