Hilaria "Lala" Loza
It is with great sadness mixed with joy that the family of Hilaria "Lala" Loza of Abilene
announces her going home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 6, 2023. Funeral
Services will be held Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 10:00am at Saint Francis of Assisi
Catholic Church located in Abilene at 826 Cottonwood Street. Visitation and Rosary will
be held at North's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, located at 242 Orange Street, on
Wednesday, August 9, 2023. Rosary will be from 6:00pm - 6:30pm followed by
visitation and fellowship from 6:30pm - 8:00pm.
Hilaria was born January 14, 1932 in Abilene to Martina Treviso and Enrique Diaz, both
of Abilene. Hilaria received her education from Saint Joseph's Catholic School. She
celebrated 40 years of marriage in 1993 with her husband C.J. Loza and had seven
wonderful children. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She was a servant of the Lord who loved to volunteer at nursing homes and attend her
grandchildren's school events. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Hilaria was preceded in death by her husband and three children Virginia "Gina" Loza of
Abilene, Abby Herrera of Abilene, and Martin Loza of Abilene, and grandsons
Christoper D. Loza of Abilene and Anthony Loza of St. Louis. Left to cherish her
memories are Ignacio "Alex" Loza of Temple, Robert Loza of Dallas, Henry Loza and
wife Tina Loza of Abilene, and Peter Damien Loza of New York, one brother Jesse T.
Diaz, and one sister Mary Rose Busch, plus 15 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren,
and 26 great-great grandchildren.
