Homer Riordan 83 of Abilene passed away Tuesday April 13 2010. Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday at North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery with Gary Lowe officiating under the direction of North's Funeral Home. Homer was born December 5 1926 in Bangs Texas to Jesse and R.B. Riordan. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1946. He moved to Abilene after his discharge from the Navy. He retired from the Texas Highway Department. Homer was a jokester and will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents two daughters two sisters and one brother.
