Irma Gil, age 50, of Abilene, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025. A Rosary will be held at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 1, 2025, also at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church, with Father Emilio Sosa officiating. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories in Trent Cemetery, Trent, Texas. Services are under the direction of North's Funeral Home.
Irma Gil was born in Abilene, Texas, to Albert and Martha Mendoza on February 25, 1975. She was a member of St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church. She has worked in the hospitality sector all her adult life, providing quality customer service and taking pride in her work. Irma enjoyed listening to music, dancing, going to the game room and casino, going yard-selling, and drinking her diet cokes. Her laughter was contagious and will be missed. She loved her fury baby dog (Oliver). Irma was a hard-working single parent, and her pride and joy were her children.
Irma Gil was preceded in death by Our Lady of Guadalupe, St Joseph, Guardian Angel, her parents, Alberto and Martha Mendoza, sister Diana Jiminez, and granddaughter Camila.
Irma Gil is survived by her two sons, Humberto Diaz Jr. and Julian Ray Diaz, and daughter, Gabriella Gil; a sister, Estella M. Delacruz, and brother-in-law, Simon Delacruz; three nieces, Angelica Delacruz, Martha Lopez, and Adriana Lopez; one nephew, Manuel Delacruz III, wife, Marisol Delacruz, Jarvis Rimmer, and several great nieces and nephews.
Pall Bearers are Emilio Hernandez, Roman Hernandez, Jarvis Rimmer, Bernabi Mendoza Jr. Johnny Guiterrez Jr., Manuel Delacruz and Simon Delacruz.
