Jack Washington Ingram known as "" Paps"" to family and friends alike went peacefully home to the Lord on Thursday night September 16th. Services will be held at the Albany Church of Christ at 417 N. Main Street. in Albany Texas at 2:00 PM on Monday September 20th with burial at Albany Cemetery with Anthony Parker officiating. Visitation will be at North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street Abilene Texas from 2 PM - 4 PM on Sunday September 19 2010. Most recently of Kendalia TX Jack spent most of his adult life in Abilene where he retired from Byron Jackson Oil Field Services and then went back to work owning and operating two Texaco Stations. Eventually he retired again from Ingram Dozer Service. After retiring he spent a number of years living in Weatherford Texas and several years ago moved to Kendalia Texas. Jack was born in Mobeetie Texas on February 22 1921 to Green Franklin Ingram and Charlie Hettie Johnson Ingram. As a young man Jack married Mary Sue Hash just before reporting to duty with the United States Army and serving during World War II in the Pacific Theatre as an amphibious engineer learning work skills he would use for the remainder of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents wife Sue Ingram in 1989 and wife Dorothy Nees in 2009 and by four sisters and three brothers. Jack is survived by daughter LaWan Israel of Brownwood son John Franklin Ingram and wife Mindy of Kendalia daughter Jackye Leal and husband Ernie of Granbury stepdaughter Mona Morrison and husband Jim of Gladewater. He is also survived by one brother Sidney Lloyd Ingram five grandsons three granddaughters four step-grandsons 2 step-granddaughters and twenty one great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Pall bearers will be Grandsons Eldon Israel Mike Cobb Josh Ingram John Wayne Ingram Jesse Ingram and Great-grandsons Joseph Israel Adam Cummings and J.C. Ingram.
